During our recent girls trip to New York City, one of the things that went straight to the top of the to-do list while there, was making a visit to Dō Cookie Dough Confections. If you haven’t heard of this place there’s a severe possibility you’ve been living under a rock 😉 I’m kidding, kind of. This place has been all over Facebook, foodie Instagrams, Buzzfeed, HuffPost, you name it. Though NYC is filled with the latest and greatest dessert to try, Dō still seems to be quite popular and this place isn’t going anywhere.
Dō offers multiple flavors of edible cookie dough, yes I know, all cookie dough is edible to some of us rule breakers, BUT this dough is actually completely safe to eat unbaked. There are all kinds of different flavors and they come out with a new flavor each month so there’s always something new to take a scoop of. They even offer vegan and gluten-free options so just about anyone can try out their delicious cookie dough.
We woke up early the first morning to beat the line and got there about 15 minutes before the store opened to find no one in line. NO. ONE. Honestly, we couldn’t believe our luck, a Saturday morning and we were the first ones in line! We hopped in line and before we knew it, there were about 15-20 of us patiently waiting for the doors to open.
It was almost impossible to pick which cookie doughs we were going to get, it being our first time there we knew we had to do it right. We ended up going with sugar cookie and heavenly, which is sugar cookie with Nutella, chocolate chips, carmel bits and sea salt, yum. Both in a pink cone of course.
Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted with smiling faces ready to scoop us up our flavors of choice. We were the phrase “like kids in a candy store” because our excitement level was through the roof. The dough tasted sweet and was the perfect consistency a dough should be. Every cookie dough lovers dream.
Put this place at the very top of your to-do list next time your in the city! You can find Dō just south of Washington Square Park at 550 LaGuardia Place in New York City. Getting there early is your best bet to waiting in a shorter line. And trust me it’s worth it. To follow along with all things Dō, including special flavors of the month, follow along with their Facebook and Instagram.
