Brunch is always the answer to just about everything if you ask me. I don’t think there’s ever been an occasion where I’ve turned down going to brunch and I don’t ever plan on it. Weekend brunch is most always a must in this household of ours and we love it. I had heard for a while that I needed to get over to Ella’s in Seminole Heights to try out theirs, so this weekend a friend and I made our way over for Sunday brunch. Even though there is almost always a wait on the weekends (that means you know it’s good), we didn’t mind waiting, we had the most perfect weather to enjoy.

We requested a table outside to take advantage of the amazing Tampa weather we were having. Their outdoor patio area is so cute, string lights and all. First things first, drinks. I went straight for their Bloody Mary that I had heard so much about, YUM.

So let’s talk about this Bloody Mary. It’s served with a rib garnish and it’s amazing. I love when Bloody Mary’s come with more than just celery and this one was all kinds of delicious. If you’re a Bloody Mary lover like I am, this one is not to be missed.

A brunch favorite, chicken and waffles. Served with a bourbon maple gravy. All the heart eyes.

The Funky Monkey, a waffle topped with bananas, nutella and toasted peanuts. I usually don’t go for sweet things like this at brunch BUT after reading what was on it, I couldn’t pass it up. It was the perfect portion and the perfect amount of sweetness. I’ll definitely be ordering it again.

It’s high time you guys get over to Ella’s for brunch. The place itself is so cute and the food is amazing. We have dined here for dinner as well and the food was just as excellent.  If the weather permits definitely ask to sit outside, especially at night with the string lights lit, it’s so cozy. To keep up with all things going on at Ella’s, follow along on their Facebook page. They are open for dinner only Sunday-Saturday and open at 11am for brunch on Sunday. You know how it goes, a Sunday brunch well spent brings a week of content. That’s what they say right 😉
