Makeup, it’s something we all love and use on a daily basis. But it’s not always easy to find products you absolutely can’t live without and buy over and over again. It has taken me a long time to fill my bag with these products, and even now I still like to experiment with different brands and I’m always looking to see what else is out there. So I thought it would be fun to give you guys a peak into what is currently in my makeup bag and what I’ve been loving lately.
Foundation: I’ve been loving my No7 foundation from Target ever since I first heard about it from Amber Fillerup, the blogger at Barefoot Blonde. I was looking to try a new foundation and loved the price point of this one. It provides great coverage and has SPF 15 which is a great little bonus.
Eyeliner: I used to always use the Kat Von D liquid eyeliner, and sometimes I still do, but I started using this Marc Jacobs eyeliner and have really started to love it. I had never used brown eyeliner before but gave it a try because why not!? I love how smooth this gel liner goes on and how long it lasts.
Mascara: I have naturally really long lashes and always get asked the same question “Are your lashes real?” so finding the best mascara for them was important. The Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara is my FAVORITE. I’ve tried so many different brands to see what I liked best and this one takes the cake.
Concealer: Dark under-eye circles have always haunted me. And if I don’t get enough sleep, I look like a zombie in the mornings. So this stuff is a life saver. I found the Too Faced Aquacealer at Sephora and have been using it for almost a year now. It feels so light on my skin and provides great coverage for my dark circles.
Lip gloss: Here me out you guys. The Kylie lip glosses are actually really great. They stay on forever and go on so smoothly. When I first got them I didn’t have very high expectations and honestly just wanted to try them because everyone was making such a big deal out of them. But once I started wearing them I realized how great her lip glosses really are. Don’t knock it till you try it!
Highlighter: I’m a new highlighter user, so I have nothing else to compare the Too Faced Candlelight Glow highlighter to. However, when I decided to start using highlighter I did a little bit of research online to see which brands were most popular and when it came time to buy, I went into Sephora and got recommendations from a few employees. I’ve found this highlighter isn’t too shiny and doesn’t make it look like I dumped a bunch of sparkles only face, but instead is pretty mellow and compliments my cheekbones.
Brow pencil: All the heart eyes for this Anastasia brow pencil. When I first started filling in my brows I was using a powder, then once I get the hang of it I quickly realized I needed to switch to a pencil. I’ve use this Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil since I first switched and I love it. If you’re looking to start filling in your brows, get this pencil. Trust me.
