I was so excited to give The Franklin Manor a try and there was no better time than Sunday brunch. Live music, NFL football on the TVs and fall weather (finally) hitting Tampa for the weekend made for a perfect afternoon to dine outside. I had been hearing all good things about this new spot so I had to go check it out for myself and I couldn’t wait to try the frosé. Yes, you heard that right, frosé. Frozen. Rosé. Sign me up. The menu is small which is great, no one likes an overwhelming menu, especially for brunch. They’ve got all the essentials needed for a good brunch along with bloody mary’s, mimosas and frosé. So we settled in, ordered a round of the frosé and thought about the more important things in life…like what to order for brunch.
Not gonna lie you guys, I had two of these. The frosé here is so, so good! The perfect amount of sweetness.
A big yes for these chicken and waffles. I loved the flavor and they had the perfect amount of crispiness. Nothing beats extra crispy fried chicken and when you pair it with waffles and syrup you can’t go wrong. The best salty/sweet combo. The Franklin Manor gets two thumbs up for their chicken and waffles.
When it comes to food I’m a sucker for anything and everything mexican. So the Huevos Rancheros were a must when it came to picking what we wanted for brunch. I had never had this dish open faced before and it was SO good. Topped of with a poached egg, the flavors blended together perfectly.
^^^ Tetris shaped tater tots you guys!!
I’m definitely hoping to get back to The Franklin Manor soon. I’m already needing another frosé or two! They’ve got Taco Tuesday every week starting at 4pm and I can’t wait to see what it’s all about. I really think The Franklin Manor was a much needed addition to downtown that Tampa was looking for. Serving up delicious food and drinks, they’ve got a great space inside as well as outside, a stage and they are pet friendly. You can learn more about The Franklin Manor here and follow them on Facebook and Instagram to stay up-to-date with what’s going on at the new downtown hot spot.
